Birthday Treasures

“Do ordinary things with extraordinary love.”

St. Teresa of Kolkata

Today is my birthday, and I decided to write my very first blog post on this special day. One of the things I hope to do with this blog is to share more in-depth thoughts and reflections—especially when something might not be fully covered, or isn’t as relevant, in a podcast episode. I also want to be real and say that there may be times, even months, when I’m a little MIA because of the demands of being a SAHM and a wife. I know many ladies can understand that! LOL.

I am truly blessed with everything God has gifted me. Back in college, I never would have imagined that ten years later I’d be married with children.

If you knew me then, you’d know I was very pessimistic, “realistic,” and negative, with a bad attitude. Maybe I didn’t always show it, but I wrote about it, and I still have the journals from that time.

So for my birthday gift today, I’m giving myself the gift of simply relaxing with my toddlers. I have two little ones—a one-year-old and a two-year-old—and I’m pregnant with my fourth child.

This blog post is more personal and not so much informational, but I just want to take some time to say that I am truly thankful to God. I have the most precious children and a wonderful husband. We live a simple life and strive to serve Him the best we can.

All the pleasures in the world do not compare to this.

Prayer:
“Saints and Angels of the Catholic Church, intercede for me today. I need all the graces that Mother Mary can give me, and all the help from you from this day forward, to be a mama to my children with great attitude and virtue. Amen.”
